Yellow Point Equity Partners is pleased to announce its minority investment in Viper Facility Services (“Viper”), a provider of heavy duty mechanical maintenance and non-unionized labour for plant shutdowns and industrial projects.
Viper focuses on work related to piping, boilers and other infrastructure in natural gas processing plants. It services customers in northern BC and has a history of safely completing projects on time, under budget and with exceptional quality.
“We weren’t seeking an investor when we were first introduced to Yellow Point” said Cam Duncan of Viper. “However, we quickly came to see the value of their involvement including the highly experienced and connected co-investors they brought to the table. Once it became apparent that their values aligned with ours and they understood our drive to raise the service bar for our clients, we became quite enthusiastic about proceeding.” Added Viper’s Warren Clark, “We now have a very experienced board of directors that will help us grow our business and diversify our client base. We also see opportunities to acquire other service providers that would complement our business and having access to additional capital through our new partnership is key.”
Tyler Smyrski, Partner of Yellow Point said “one of the characteristics that most attracted us to Viper was the quality of its management team. Cam and Warren have done an exceptional job generating a positive reputation, strong track record and a business centred on a skilled and engaged employee base. Going forward and with the support of Yellow Point’s value-add co-investors, we see further growth and significant upside for the company.”
