We Care President & CEO John Schram Receives Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal

Toronto – October 24, 2012 – We Care Home Health Services (We Care) would like to congratulate our CEO John Schram on receiving the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. Schram, who is also currently President of the Canadian Home Care Association (CHCA), received the honour during a ceremony last night at the CHCA’s annual summit in Vancouver.

The commemorative medals were created as part of celebrations marking the sixtieth anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as Queen of Canada. For 60 years, Her Majesty has exemplified the true meaning of service with steadfast purpose and dedication. The medals provide a tangible way to recognize those Canadians who, like Her Majesty, have dedicated themselves to service to family, community and country.

Schram was recognized for his ongoing commitment to the Canadian home health care industry. Along with his active role with We Care, he works with various industry associations to educate Canadians in regards to safety and independence when aging in a home environment. He is currently serving as President of the CHCA, sits on the Board of Directors of the Ontario Home Care Association and chairs the finance and audit committee of Accreditation Canada. These positions allow him to keep abreast of developments in homecare, and enable him to advocate with policy makers that create and manage home care programs across the country.

Schram and other leaders in the home care industries received their medals as part of the CHCA’s 2012 Home Care Summit taking place in Vancouver October 23 – 25.
