Rusty Goepel—Non-Executive
Chairman
Rusty has over 40 years of experience in the investment sector.
Rusty, together with a group of senior investment industry officers, founded
Goepel Shields & Partners in 1989. In 1998, Goepel Shields merged
with McDermid St. Lawrence to form Goepel McDermid, which was subsequently sold
to Raymond James.
Rusty currently maintains the position of Senior Vice President of Raymond
James’ Canadian operations. He is also a member of the Board of Governors
of the Business Council of BC, the Vancouver Airport Authority, Telus
Corporation, Amerigo Resources, and AutoCanada as well as a trustee for the Baytex Energy Trust.
Rusty is the recipient of the Queen’s Jubilee Medal for Business Leadership
and Community Service. He has also filled many vital roles in the past, including:
Chair of the Vancouver Organizing Committee
for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games, Governor of the Vancouver Stock Exchange, Executive Committee Member of the
Investment Dealer’s Association and President of the Shaughnessy
Golf and Country Club.
