David Chapman—Managing Partner

David has over 20 years of of operating and investment experience.

Prior to co-founding Yellow Point, David was CEO of Greenlight Power Technologies, a privately-held energy technology company. During his tenure, he successfully repositioned the company from a small niche player to the global leader in its field. In 2003, David engineered the sale of Greenlight to a Nasdaq-listed company. Prior to joining Greenlight, David was a Senior Vice President in the investment banking group of Merrill Lynch. There he managed over $20 billion in private placement, public capital raising and M&A transactions.

David received the Institute Certified Director Designation (ICO.D) from the Institute of Corporate Directors. He graduated with an MBA from the University of Western Ontario. Prior to this, he completed an undergraduate commerce degree in finance from the University of Calgary.

David is currently managing Yellow Point’s investments in Crossroads C&I, We Care and CBV Collection Services, and oversaw Yellow Point's investments in Blast Radius and CCI prior to their being sold.
